Imagine Plank Road

In 2019, Build Baton Rouge (BBR) launched a two‑year, community‑driven planning process to reimagine the corridor. The plan prioritized better transit, stronger local businesses, affordable housing, and resilient infrastructure.

The CLRA was created as a strategic development tool alongside this plan to ensure residents have long‑term stakes in the area’s future.

Erie Street Eco Park

The Erie Street Eco Park is a completed green space located at the intersection of Erie Street and Plank Road in North Baton Rouge.

The park represents a collaborative effort between the CLRA, Build Baton Rouge and BREC, with design input from LSU Landscape Architecture students and implementation support from Republic Services and the NYU Marron Institute of Urban Management.

Street Development

In April 2026, the CLRA acquired two adjudicated properties from the EBR City-Parish in the Eden Park neighborhood.

In partnership with local nonprofit developer Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC), these two lots will be used to construct two single family homes that provide affordable homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income families in the community.
